The Fifth Annual Bohai or Bust will be held Saturday 12 April 2014. The Schoolhouse is excited to present this biking festival in its fifth year by hosting, facilitating, and providing a wonderful location to bike on self-guided paths throughout the beautiful and breathtaking countryside of Bohai Township, a county nestled against the Mutianyu Great Wall. Why We Do This
The purpose of this charity event is to raise money for
the Elderly of the 21 villages of Bohai Township, who
have helped this area to grow. Those living outside
Mutianyu Village particularly struggle with no tourism
revenue, left behind by the young. From 2010-2013 Bohai
or Bust has raised a total of Rmb 88, 618. This year the
presentation of proceeds will occur Thursday 2 October
2014 on Chong Yang Jie (Elder's Day), a traditional
Chinese holiday which celebrates the elderly.

Bohai or Bust 2014 Seeks Volunteers
Help us make a difference in our community.
Let’s get people on their bikes exploring beautiful Bohai Township around the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall while raising money for the local elderly.
We are looking for ambitious people with heart to help us bring people up from the city to see the beautiful communities that do exist. You might get to know a part of Beijing you didn’t know existed, and fresh mountain air doesn’t hurt either.
